Meet The founders
The ACIN was founded by Junior Garba ACII and Godwin Sosi Cert CII in 2018. The idea for the ACIN was birthed out of the two Lloyd’s underwriting professional’s frustration with the Diversity & Inclusion landscape within the insurance sector. Junior Garba ACII
Cyber Underwriter
The ACIN is headed up by Junior Garba ACII and Godwin Sosi Cert CII. Junior Garba ACII is a Cyber Underwriter at Tokio Marine Kiln. After coming through the ranks on the Kiln internship program he joined the TMK graduate scheme in 2015. Upon successful completion of the graduate scheme he joined the Cyber Underwriting team within the Enterprise Risk division. He now focuses on Cyber OM business working on large corporate accounts both US and International. Junior has developed skills working in a market renowned team in which he negotiates with global broking houses on large corporate accounts. In addition, Junior has always taken a keen interest in his local community of Lewisham. As a youth he frequently discussed at events with politicians and public figures to explore topics such as breaking barriers for London’s BAME and underprivileged youth. Having overcome many of the barriers the ACIN are trying to break, Junior is well positioned to be at the helm of this organisation.
Godwin Sosi Cert CII
Management Liability Underwriter
Godwin Sosi Cert CII is a management liability underwriter at Sompo International. After completing his 1- year placement programme at Mercedes-Benz, he went on to finish his undergraduate degree in Economics & Finance (BA) hons, after which he went on to complete 2 years as an underwriting assistant in Chubb’s Financial Lines team. His experience at Chubb, gave him the fundamentals to deal with underwriters as well as interact and service brokers. Now as an Assistant Underwriter, Godwin focuses on underwriting mid-Market & Large corp international D&O business and forming relationships with World renowned brokers. Godwin is a firm believer in giving back, and has been heavily involved in mentoring and giving talks to kids at local schools, including his own secondary school. Understanding what it took to get where he is today, Godwin has the right characteristics to drive this organisation forward.
